National Day of Mourning

Our team at CannAmm Occupational Testing Services wants to take a moment to give our deepest condolences to the individuals, and their families, who have been injured or have lost their lives due to workplace tragedy. Today, April 28th, marks the National Day of Mourning, a day to not only remember but honor those who have been affected by incidents in the workplace. CannAmm, as well as many other amazing organizations, takes this day to collectively renew our commitment to improving the health and safety in workplaces across the nation to prevent injuries, illnesses, and deaths.

One of the incredible organizations that our team at CannAmm has had the privilege to work with over the past eleven years is Threads of Life, The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support. Established to fill the gap between health and safety systems, and social systems in Canada, Threads of Life provides several resources for families, employers, and health and safety professionals. To see the available resources please see here.

For additional information on National Day of Mourning or how you can help those affected by workplace tragedy, visit their website today. Full of individual stories, resources, and support systems, this group helps over 3,200 individuals affected by a workplace tragedy, including family members, friends, and co-workers. Members come from all regions of Canada, all walks of life, and all age groups.

Everyone deserves to go home safe at the end of the day.
