Lifeloc Phoenix 6.0 BT Equipment Training

Training Goal

This course prepares breath alcohol technicians to properly operate a Lifeloc Phoenix 6.0 BT evidential breath alcohol testing device and correctly calibrate the device according to the manufacturer’s quality assurance plan. The course includes printable handouts and documents as well as access to the course content after the completion of the course.

The Phoenix 6.0 BT is designed to be used by trained technicians that follow periodic maintenance and calibration/calibration check regimens. 

Course Prerequisite

Participants must complete the Breath Alcohol Technician Training course prior to attending the Lifeloc Phoenix 6.0 BT Equipment Training.

Lifeloc Breathalyzer Training Objectives

Upon completing Lifeloc Equipment Training, you will be able to:

  • Complete calibration and calibration checks on the alcohol screening device.
  • Demonstrate the procedures for obtaining a breath sample, and interpreting and recording Evidential Breath Testing (EBT) results on an alcohol testing form.

  • Overview of different methods for printing out test results

Course Length

Two hours of classroom training is required to complete the course.

Certification

The printable training certificate is valid for five years upon completing the course. After the five-year period, an equipment-specific exam to re-certify must be completed and submitted to Lifeloc.
