Our History:
CannAmm Drug and Alcohol Testing for the Workplace Inc. is a full service, Drug
Free Workplace administrator and drug testing consultant servicing clients throughout
North America. CannAmm's Occupational Health roots stretch out over more than 10
years of quality service. The range of services we offer include policy development,
management, employee and supervisor training, laboratory and testing services, as
well as (MRO) Medical Review Officer and (SAP) Substance Abuse Counselling services
to help your employees deal with addiction issues.

Our Leaders:

Greg Demers: General Manager
Mr. Demers has a background in police work for 17 years. Mr. Demers attended the
Canadian Forces School of Intelegence and Security in 1979 as a Military Police
Officer. He spent four years at National Defense Headquarters in Ottawa working
in security surveys implementing security programs for the Department of National
Defense then moved on the security investigations where he was responsible for investigating
foreign breaches of national security through external affairs.
In 1985, Mr. Demers joined the North Bay City Police Services and had various assignments/qualifications
such as regular patrol, explosive disposal unit, breath alcohol technician (certified
at the Center of Forensic Sciences Toronto, accepted as an expert witness in Ontario
courts), court officer in the provincial criminal courts, and community services
duties. Aug of 1996 Mr. Demers moved over to CannAmm Drug & Alcohol Testing full
time as a working Principal and General Manager. In July of 2006 CannAmm was acquired
by Dynacare Kasper Medical Laboratories and all Testing Services where merged to
form CannAmm Occupational Testing Services. Mr. Demers is now the General Manager
of CannAmm Occupational Testing Services division in AB and ON.

Bruce Demers MD, CCFP, MRO:
Chief Medical Review Officer / CannAmm Medical Director
Dr. Demers graduated from the University of Ottawa as a medical doctor and then
completed his family practice residency training (CCFP) at McMaster University in
1983. Dr. Demers teaches family practice residency through the University of Ottawa
and nurse practitioners through Laurentian University. He is currently the area
coordinator for Nipissing/Temiskaming for postgraduate medical studies through Northeastern
Ontario Medical Education Association.
He has been appointed as an assistant professor in the division of clinical studies
in the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. He is involved in occupational medicine
for several corporations including Ontario Northland Railway, North Bay General
Hospital, Tembec Inc., and Workers Safety & Insurance Board. Dr. Demers provides
rehabilitation psychiatric team management for the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital,
as well as after hours coverage to this tertiary care hospital. Dr. Demers is AAMRO
trained and certified with extensive MRO experience over the past 11 years.

Dennis L. Kerns: Manager Business Development
Mr. Kerns has over 20 years experience in a medical laboratory environment. He received
a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology. Mr. Kerns
served as Director of Outpatient Services for Western Pathology Consultants, PC;
Laboratory Supervisor for Box Butte General Hospital, Alliance, Nebraska; and Laboratory
Supervisor for Dundy County Hospital, Benkelman, Nebraska.
Mr. Kerns has his MT(ASCP) certification from the American Society of Clinical
Pathology. He has also served as Associate Professor at Western Nebraska
Community College, Adult Education Division. Recently Mr. Kerns has been certified as a C-SAPA
(Certifies Substance Abuse Program Administrator) and serves on the boards of SAPAA and the certifying
agency SAPACC.

Carla-Rae Goldsmith: Operations Manager
Ms Goldsmith joined CannAmm in June of 2004 and since that time has proven to be
a valuable and indispensable member of the team. She has brought an extensive level
of experience in the customer service field. She has a background of 13 years service
in the Canadian Military working as a budget administrator and staff leader. In
addition, she has donated her time and expertise on numerous fundraising committees
and social programs.
Following her military career she worked as an account executive for MCTV, as well
as a sales agent for Allstate Insurance. Carla ensures that all initiatives within
CannAmm Occupational Testing Services are implemented properly.

Pierre Croteau: Coordinator Substance Abuse – Assessment and Referral
Following his studies at Cornwall Classical College ( affiliated to Ottawa University)
in 1961, he enjoyed a business career until 1984 at which time he entered the addiction
field. After working in assessment and referral, he was executive and program director
of Jubilee Centre in Timmins, Ontario. In 1991, he took a position as Senior Counselor/Coordinator
of French Language services at Halfway House Inc. in North Bay, Ontario.
In 1994, he co-founded “Le Pavillon”, a francophone long term recovery home for
substance dependents. He is an “International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor”
(I.C.A.D.C.) as well as a “Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor” He has a private
clinic in addiction and education. Pierre is one of our most experienced Trainers
and travels the continent offering his expertise to supervisors and employees in
a class setting. He is also the Coordinator of the assessment and referral division
of CannAmm Drug and Alcohol Testing.

Dan Demers: Business Development
Mr. Demers has a strong academic background - completing high school two years
earlier than his peers. Without hesitation, he moved on to finish an Honours BSC
with a minor in Biology at the University of Waterloo; with a dean’s list average.
During his academia he worked for the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, gathering
statistical data across Northern Ontario for planning and development of major roadway
projects as well assisting the traffic department in implementing a paperless database.
After two years with the Ministry of Transportation, he moved on to the Mining sector and
worked for Mining Technologies International, initially as a labourer; however, quickly establishing
a reputation that allowed him to pursue a personal project on how communication between departments
affected productivity as well as identifying and verify bottlenecks in production.
Although his background is science, his passion lies in business,
Mr. Demers intends on pursuing an executive MBA as his corporate experience grows.

Darren Donovan: Manager of Corporate Occupational Health Development in Western Canada
Darren has 20 years experience in Emergency Services as a Paramedic.
He has been a Paramedic Instructor in Alberta and New Brunswick,
and is currently a Registered Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
Darren has been a CannAmm OTS service provider in early 2005, and has recently become a
part of our CannAmm OTS Management team.
Darren is currently a DOT Instructor for Specimen Collection and Breath Alcohol,
and a factory trained Instructor for our complete line of our Lifeloc breathalysers.
